Steve Ogidigbo joined the services of Union Homes Savings & Loans Plc in March 15th 1996 as the Pioneer Chief Inspector.  He holds a B.Sc (Hons) Economics from University of Nigeria Nsukka, a Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Banking & Finance from University of Nigeria Nsukka, Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Ambrose Alli University.

He worked in various branches as well as Head Office Units of Union Bank Plc where he rose to the post of an Assistant Inspector before moving over to Union Homes.
