E. AUSTINE AIKHORIN

Austine Aikhorin has over 35 years professional banking experience and holds an M.Sc in Banking and Finance from University of Benin, Edo State, Nigeria. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers Nigeria and an Associate of the Institute of Bankers, London.
Austine began his banking career in 1969 as a clerk in Union Bank of Nigeria PLC, and rose through the ranks to become a Deputy General Manager, before his appointment in February 2006 as the Managing Director/Chief Executive of Union Homes. Prior to this, he was an Executive Director in HFC Bank (Ghana) Limited, Accra.
Before this, Austine has served Union Bank in various capacities and in some very high positions. From 1996 – 1999, he was Union Bank’s pioneer General Manager, South Africa Representative Office, Johannesburg. The thrust of his duties was mainly Marketing, Credit and Administrations.
