Udeagha Egbe joined Union Homes Savings & Loans Plc at the Bank’s inception in 1994. A career banker from Union Bank’s stable. Egbe joined Union Bank of Nigeria in 1976 and benefited extensively from several banking and management courses organized or sponsored by Union Bank within and outside Nigeria.
Egbe, an alumnus of Methodist College, Uzuakoli, holds an ACIB (London) Certificate and an M.Sc Certificate in Banking and Finance from University of Ibadan and an LLB Degree from the University of Lagos. He attended overseas courses at the Cranfield Institute of Technology, Cranfield, Bedford UK. The London Business School London, Wharlton School, University of Pennsylvania, USA and Templeton College, University of Oxford, Oxford, UK.
He was the pioneer Head of Banking Operation, a position he held up to 2003 when he was transferred as Deputy General Manager (Head of Mortgage Operations) from 2003 to July, 2006. He lead the Union Homes negotiating team that purchased the 1004 Estates, Victoria Island, Mulliner and Awolowo Towers, Ikoyi. He served as a director in the maiden Board of 1004 Estates Ltd, the owners of 1004 Estates, Victoria Island up till February, 2006.
